How to play
Find the useful references
Each game randomly selects one of four settings: rescue station, cargo terminal, research laboratory or rail control centre. Each has 15 references, its own rules and question types, and randomised values. Open up to two references at a time; opening a third closes the oldest.
Connect facts
Use the current handbook to solve capacity, scheduling, priority, mixture, check-digit and system-rule questions. Beginner uses one or two references per question, Intermediate uses two or three, and Advanced uses three or four. Only two references can stay open, so retain facts while switching tabs. Use only stated conditions; do not add real-world assumptions.
Choose, skip and revisit
Select an answer once for each of 30 questions. Previous/Next and the numbered navigator let you skip and return. Answered questions show their explanation and cannot be scored again.
Scoring
Correct answers earn 100, 150 or 200 points by level. Incorrect answers deduct half that award. Unanswered questions earn zero. Round scores, personal bests and level unlocks save to your account. These are original practice exercises, not official test questions.
Tips
- Read the question before choosing reference tabs.
- Track the units: litres, hours, kWh and pounds have different roles.
- A condition joined by AND needs both requirements to be true.
Unlocking levels
Beginner is available from the start. Reach each target in a completed round at the previous level.
- Intermediate: score 700 in Beginner.
- Advanced: score 1,000 in Intermediate.
